High Points
This year (for me) has been full of downs and stabilizers; as well as a few, albeit minor, ups. However, last night as the USA men’s swimming team won the relay I realized that it’s not all bad.
That race was incredible. Sure, the media is all, “that was incredible AND it keeps Phelps hopes for 8 gold.. blah blah.” Yeah, sure, Phelps is awesome but for one moment, pardon my ‘Merican, “Fuck that guy!” Did you see the TEAM win that shit! Did you see the anchor pull through like a freak of nature? Yeah, you should have. Did you feel alive?
I did.
I haven’t really gotten all that excited about much in a long time (‘cept The Dark Knight, which is another obvious high point) but I just realized last night… It’s time to get excited. It’s time to pull ahead and feel alive.
(oh yeah. I almost forgot. Fuck the French!)
Amen! I had a moment like this a few months ago. I was making some pretty depressing videos and one day just said “fuck it, no more of that shit”. Glad to hear you had one of those moments. And yeah, Fuck those dudes.
