Tumblr made some changes today.
One of them is Public Groups. You can now start multiple public tumblelogs, and you can let other people update them. For example, you can now use Tumblr to host a blog for your band, giving everyone in the band the ability to post. And Tumblr can host it at yourband.com.
This is a major step in Tumblr’s evolution as a publishing platform.
Damn you beat me to it. I was just going to post about the changes. The settings are also now in your dashboard next the followers icon which gives you a pretty sweet new HUD to make changes to your site. Another thing I noticed is a “unfollow” button on people’s pages that you follow. Before I think you had to go to your following page and click the red X. One last thing I noticed is when you re-blog someone their original post is indented in to almost showcase the original.
Great job Tumblr, keep up the good work.
